CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) recently finalized a rule that will establish more comprehensive healthcare price transparency rules for hospitals and requires hospitals to publicize a list of their current standard charges online.

Glen Rose Medical Center is committed to pricing transparency for our patients. We understand the importance of making pricing information available to our patients so they can better anticipate their financial responsibilities and make informed healthcare decisions.

The hospital’s charges are the same for all patients, but a patient’s responsibility may vary, depending on the discounts negotiated with individual health insurers. If you have health insurance, you should contact your insurance company directly to understand what your financial obligation will be. Uninsured or under-insured patients should consult with our financial counselor to determine whether you qualify for any discounts, call 254-897-2215 and ask for a financial counselor.

Also, the hospital prices do not include physicians’ fees from emergency room physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, radiologists, pathologists or other professional fees. Your final bill will vary depending on the actual services provided, existing health conditions that may impact your care (including – but not limited to diabetes, obesity, smoking, etc.), and your insurance coverage, if you are insured.
