Oncologists diagnose and treat cancer, and manage their patient’s care from the point of diagnosis throughout the course of the disease. An oncologist will explain the cancer diagnosis and stage, and discuss all treatment options and the best course of treatment. There are a variety of cancer types and treatments.
David D’Spain, D.O.
Dr. D’Spain began his medical training with undergraduate studies at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minor in Biochemistry. Dr. D’Spain then completed his medical education at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine, as well as a fellowship in oncology, at Scott and White Memorial Hospital.
