MEDICAL OFFICE RECEPTIONIST – PECAN CLINIC LOCATION

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Medical Office Receptionist is responsible for assisting the physician in the care of patients through appropriate scheduling, collection of information and exceptional customer service with patients of all ages.  In collaboration with administration plans, the Medical Office Receptionist coordinates most business operations of the office to include answering phones, collecting insurance information and copays,  collecting and updating demographics, scheduling of patients for the office and for hospital studies or therapy when necessary, ordering of supplies when needed, facilitating written communication with patients and physicians, calls to pharmacies, processing medical records requests, and other clinical/clerical projects as assigned by the Physician, Clinic Director or Assistant Clinic Director.  The medical office receptionist will maintain the office in accordance with the standards established by the Hospital, Federal, State, Joint Commission and local standards.  All functions of the office are carried out according to the Glen Rose Medical Center’s Mission Statement and policies.  The Medical Office Receptionist reports directly to the Physician regarding clinical services and to the Clinic Director regarding business functions.

Director of Business Office                                            

Full Time position

The Director of the Business Office oversees multiple activities that manage and improve hospital revenue cycle operations that favorably impact accounts receivable, cash acceleration and net revenue. It includes all administrative functions that contribute to the capture, management, and collection of patient service revenue.  This includes the entire life of a patient account from creation to payment. The Management of these areas includes Patient Accounting, Billing, Collections, Registration, Charge master and Coding.  This position is accountable for the success of the front-end revenue cycle processes and controls relating to scheduling, registration, charge capture, upfront collections, bill holds, root cause analysis/correction of front-end billing errors/claim rejections/denials.  This position provides leadership and direction to the Business Office Department to optimize the patient account flow and reimbursement; developing and implementing policies, procedures and objectives for the department; reviewing department performance, effects, and changes as needed to improve services; and timely update Charge master with appropriate billing changes. Familiarity with various revenue cycle dashboards and benchmarking tools; specific knowledge of key revenue cycle performance indicators and trends.

Minimum Entry Level Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of direct revenue cycle experience within an acute care hospital setting, as a revenue cycle leader.

CST Monday – Friday

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is a member of the surgical team who works with surgeons, anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities before, during, and after surgery.  The CST acting as a scrub person handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Must have an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon and maintain a sterile field. Good general health with ability to work in a high stress environment.  Must have full mobility with the ability to stand in one place for long periods of time.  The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Must be a graduate from a surgical technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) or another avenue of entry otherwise acceptable to the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist.

Director at 16 bed rural hospital. Must have BSN, current BCLS/CPR, ACLS and basic computer knowledge.   1. Summary of Responsibilities:

This is a full-time position that will work closely with the Health Information Management Director.  A high level of professionalism and ability to communicate with management, staff, providers and their office credentialing staff is required.

Credentialing Coordinator

Responsible for the medical provider credentialing process of the hospital which includes but not limited to:

* Maintain an accurate and up-to-date provider database

 We need help transporting patients to and from the SeniorCare Program for their mental health treatment. This is often a split shift and perfect for a retired individual who wants just a few hours here or there.

PRN Medical Assistant for the Behavioral Health Program at Glen Rose Medical Center

 We have openings for PRN Medical Assistants for the SeniorCare mental health program. We need individuals who can fill in when our census increases or to cover staff time off. This may include anything from a split shift driving patients to and from the program in the program van, to a longer work day assisting with registration, helping with nursing duties and assisting patients. We require an excellent driving record and customer service skills. This position is perfect for someone who is retired who wants just a few hours here or there.

PRN Licensed Therapist for the Behavioral Health Program at Glen Rose Medical Center

 We have openings for PRN Therapists to help cover staff vacations or increased patient census in the SeniorCare Intensive Outpatient Program. Therapists facilitate group therapy sessions and interact therapeutically with patients with severe mental health issues. This position is perfect for someone who is retired or semi-retired, only needing a few hours here or there. Requirements include LMSW, LCSW or LPC with 3 years related experience. Must be able to assist senior patients transfer in and out of chairs and help with wheelchairs etc. We require our clinical staff to have excellent clinical and customer service skills.

PRN Hospital Housekeeping

The housekeeper is responsible for providing housekeeping support for designated areas in the hospital, essential in maintaining sanitation standards. Environmental service workers primarily handle room readiness in patient areas and general cleanliness procedures in staff and public areas. Provides no direct patient care. All job functions are carried out according to Glen Rose Medical Center’s Policies and Procedures and Mission Vision Statement. The housekeeper reports directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

The Radiology/CT Technologist is responsible for producing diagnostic radiographs and computed tomography procedures according to accepted standards utilizing appropriate protocols. The technologist also assists the Radiologist with fluoroscopy and operates the C-arm for surgical exams when necessary.
