POSITION SUMMARY  

LEAD HOUSEKEEPER RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERSEEING DAILY OPERATIONS AND KEEPING ENTIRE AREAS CLEAN AND ENSURING A HIGH LEVEL OF SERVICE
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and general upkeep in all areas and buildings of GRMC 

• Contribute to patients /guests’ comfort through daily cleaning 

• Responsible for regular assigned duties and allocations 

• Monitor the operation efficiency of linen 

• Ensure adequate coverage as absences or emergencies may require 

• Must be detail oriented 

• Must independently recognize and evaluate situations for the level of urgency 

 POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Adjusting work assignments and creating work schedules 

• Familiar with infection control guidelines 

• Proper handling of medical waste 

• Demonstrates cleaning procedures and use of equipment 

• Monitoring work is completed to the highest standard 

• Adhering to safety procedures and regulatory standards set by organizations like 

 Joint Commission and CDC 

SKILLS & ABILITIES
 

Experience: 3-5 years of work-related experience preferred
 

Computer Skills: 0-2 years computer skills

 Other Requirements: 

• Ability to work quickly and effectively 

• Attention to detail 

• Time management 

• Knowledge of cleaning floor equipment 

• Familiar with cleaning procedures 

• Ensuring the team is following procedures and protocols 

• Ethical standards required by HIPPA 

• Regular visual inspections  

• Proper handling of medical waste 

• Coaching, training, delegating tasks/work 

• Following infection control guidelines
